What to expect when learning with Matherati courses?
Core courses are 3-year courses where we learn actively for 3 weeks each month from September to June. They're paced perfectly to offer plenty of time for a break or for further revision between modules.
Choose from Foundation or Higher tier maths courses - perfect for both iGCSE (especially Edexcel Spec A) and all major GCSE exam boards (especially Edexcel, AQA and OCR).

Additional courses
Besides the core courses, we offer also these further options:
KS3 - for those who are not ready for GCSE studies just yet. Please be in touch for more information.
FastTrack - a shorter course for those who want to learn maths our way but want to take their exams earlier. Each student will be advised on the structure of this fast-paced course before enrollment to make sure it's the right choice for them.
FastTrack courses work the same way as core courses, only over a shorter period of time (see above). Modules and the learning plan are not given, only recommended. Each week, students are expected to choose the video theory and practice work they need, then ask questions in the live lessons (topics may vary depending on students' needs).
Self-paced learning is an option for those who only want to access the video theory. Please be in touch for more information.
Our A level maths groups supplement a typical full course learnt at college (self-learners are welcome too) and aim to cover additional questions, bridge any knowledge gaps from GCSE to A level, build confidence and nurture the ability for efficient independent learning.
Prices and lesson length depend on the number of students in the group. Enquire to find out more.

FAQ
Why choose combined learning for GCSE and iGCSE maths?
We look at maths holistically and also teach it this way. Differences between exams are mentioned throughout the course and students can choose to either focus just on "their" parts or embrace additional work to enhance their maths learning.
GCSE students may benefit from different perspectives on some topics and go beyond their syllabus. This is very useful if they'd like to take their maths studies further.
IGCSE students may benefit from techniques focused on mental arithmetic without relying on a calculator at all costs. This is especially useful for everyday life.
Occasionally students may want to decide later which exam they want to take. Keeping their options open is a win-win.
Won't students get confused if they'll be learning different topics at different times in school and in the course?
In theory, for students who attend school, this may be a bit confusing. It depends on the student's preferences, goals and how they get on with maths at school - whether they want and need additional help.
All maths topics are connected, so learning one topic helps with others as well. It may often come in handy at unexpected times. The overall benefits of how we approach maths learning are bigger than any possible misalignment with the student's studies at school.
If students would prefer to keep up with their school maths, the self-paced option (see above) can also be a great choice.
Who are these courses good for?
Core courses with Matherati are great for both home educated students and students in schools who want the best preparation possible for their exams.
Can we join only for some modules?
We run extra lessons where you can join us on ad-hoc basis. But it is always more fun to build the team spirit together with other students over a longer period of time.
We'd like to take exams sooner, can we still enrol?
Yes, that is possible. Please book a call with Veronika and you can discuss the best options together. Combining two years is possible so you may be offered a suitable plan to make sure you won't miss anything on your maths learning journey.
